Von American Combatants for Peace:
Dear Friend,
Next week, our Summer Solidarity campaign, “Emergency
Assistance, Shared Resistance,” turns to one of the movement's greatest
strengths: the women helping sustain, protect, and strengthen Combatants for
Peace.
Throughout history, women have often stood at the intersection
of violence and hope — among the first to bear the costs of conflict, and among
the first to organize communities, protect one another, and build the
foundations for lasting change.
Across Palestine and Israel, the women of Combatants for Peace
are advancing that collective legacy—protecting vulnerable communities,
mentoring the next generation, strengthening nonviolent resistance, and
creating spaces where shared humanity can grow.
As part of our campaign's third initiative, STRENGTHEN
WOMEN LEADERS, we invite you to join us Wednesday for a special
CollectiveED conversation.

You'll hear directly from three extraordinary women whose
leadership spans grassroots organizing, protective presence, community
resilience, and global movement building. 🌳Hanadi Hussin Sayed,
Palestinian activist, researcher, author, and gender specialist whose work
focuses on women’s empowerment, displacement, and the experiences of women
living through and beyond conflict. ⛰️Tova Kahan, Israeli activist and
Protective Presence Consortium project manager working alongside Palestinian
villages under threat while helping strengthen community resilience and joint
action. Though their work spans different countries and movements,
they share a common conviction: that courageous, community-rooted leadership
is essential to building a more just future. Join us as they reflect on what
they've learned, what sustains them, and why investing in women leaders
matters now more than ever. Whether you've followed our movement for years or are joining us for the first time, we hope you'll be part of this conversation. |
